sundays in seattle

As you may recall from last week’s post, the hubs and I don’t get out of the house much now that the little one has invaded blessed our lives. So we’ve instituted a new family tradition, Sundays in Seattle, in which we pretend like we’re on vacation in our own town – a “staycation” of sorts. Except we usually leave the house having no idea where we’ll end up and what kind of shenanigans we’ll get into (which with a 4-month old usually involves poop.)

This week, we found ourselves strolling the streets of lovely Fremont and hanging out at the Fremont Sunday Market. Fremont used to be a hippy enclave, but has become a bit trendy in recent years.

Nonetheless, it’s a fun place to visit and the market is not to be missed. As opposed to the many farmer’s markets in Seattle, the Fremont market is more like a flea market meets craft fair meets hippy paradise. Needless to say, it’s eclectic. And I love it.

Here’s a peek into our family outing…

Sadie, of course, slept through the whole adventure. Also, she’s not a San Francisco native. She just likes the hat.

I was there the other day too! I took some shots of the cool looking Mischief Distillery building, but then left my camera in the car, should have taken it with me. I saw those lines of shoes too and thought they’d make a great photo, glad someone got it!

Those shoes were my favorite! I must have taken 20 photos of them. Fremont is such a great place to take photos. I hope you go back soon with your camera!
