Gail was the lucky recipient of a Mother’s Day Mini Session. Her lovely husband and sons gifted the session to her because they knew she deserved a little TLC. As the mom of two teenage boys, she spends a lot of time taking care of others and most of the photos of the family are of the kids.
Does this sound familiar?
So last week, we focused (literally and figuratively) on Gail. On a beautifully dewey morning, we strolled around the Arboretum, chatting about life, motherhood, and how to get comfortable in front of the camera.
The result was a delightful meeting of two people and a camera, filled with laughter, gorgeous morning light, and the loveliness of this beautiful woman.

My favorite photo came at the end of the session when I asked Gail to relax and just be – no need to smile or try to act a certain way. In that moment, she let it all go and stood proudly in her beauty.
When was the last time you did that?
