princesses, superheroes, & sunny days

This is Genevieve. (Don’t you just love that name?) She just turned two and is full of energy. She LOVES princesses, robots, trucks, and her mom and dad. Yup, she’s a well-rounded girl.

On this particular day, Genevieve loved playing in the sandbox and was quite fond of one green shovel in particular.

Lucky for us, she agreed to explore the rest of the playground with her mom and dad.

She even managed to show off her sharing skills. Way to go, Genevieve!

 And finally, I spent a little quality time with mom and dad on their own. Aren’t they sweet?

It was such an honor to photograph this family. Judy has QUITE a story, which includes discovering she had breast cancer shortly after her daughter was born. In the midst of treatment, she and her hubby have been going to school, moving, and raising a most amazing child. Truly, I think they are real life superheroes. I’m certain Genevieve thinks so, too.
