Photography is my meditation. It is my joy. It is my passion. And lucky for me, it is also my job. My camera is an extension of me. When it’s in my hands, you will often find me giggling, climbing on furniture, and making a fool of myself – just to get the shot. I’ve been known to lose myself in the magic of a moment, to make silly faces, or to spontaneously burst out in song. (Consider yourself warned!)
Over the years, I have made a practice of slowing down, getting out of the rat race, and celebrating the simple moments. My camera has helped me do this.
When I’m not photographing people I adore or teaching my photography e-course to people I adore, I am spending time with the people I adore, snuggling with my baby girl, wandering Seattle’s finest farmer’s markets with my husband, sipping lattes, and appreciating the beauty in my everyday Slices of Life.

I specialize in photographing newborns, babies, children, families, and splendid individuals like you! You can expect to have fun, let loose, and be YOU during our time together. And you can expect that I’ll capture the best in you. Pinky swear.
I will show you how freaking amazing you are, one photo at a time. I know, I know…you don’t think you’re photogenic. To that, I say “rubbish”! You are extraordinary. You are beautiful. You have seen things and been places that have made you who you are today. So let’s take a moment and acknowledge where you’ve been and where you are going. Time moves so fast. Let’s pause for a moment and celebrate you with some kick-ass photos. You deserve to have photos that document this time in your life – as you start a business, as you welcome a new baby into your life, as you navigate the winding path of family life. It is all important. It is all beautiful. Even (or especially) when it’s not neat and tidy.
Slice of Life
I started using the term “Slice of Life” when I first discovered my love of photography. I realized that I didn’t have to look far to find beauty. Even amidst life’s day-to-day routines, amidst piles of laundry and lengthy to-do lists, there was beauty to be found. Even on the hard days or the gray days (which there are a lot of here in Seattle!), there was beauty to be found. My camera is the tool I use to see and appreciate the simple pleasures in life.
The way I see it, the Slice of Life approach does not only apply to photography. It’s a way of living. It’s a way of looking at the world through the lens of gratitude and curiosity. It is my hope that I can share the Slice of Life approach to life and photography with you.
